Graduated from University of Western Ontario (Canada) in 1973. Worked at the National Geophysical Research Inst. (India), University of São Paulo and Institute of Technology Research (Brazil). Areas of interests include Geothermics, Seismology, Geomagnetics, Applied Geophysics, and Tectonophysics. Currently, member of the International Heat Flow Commission and Emeritus Professor of the National Observatory (Brazil).
