Dr Phung Van Phach is engaged in the study of salinization of the upper part of the delta deposits by the method of electric tomography due to the penetration of sea waters into the coastal section in the area of the Red (Hongha) river delta. Under his leadership, studies of the geoelectric structure of the lithosphere of North Vietnam were carried out using electrical exploration methods. Significant results have been obtained in the field of the deep structure of the lithosphere in the tectonic zone of the Krasnaya River, and gas geochemistry is becoming a new promising method in marine and onshore research in Vietnam.
