Graduated with honors from NSU (1987, Novosibirsk) and the Russian Academy of Entrepreneurship (2004, Moscow). Scientific interests: geology and tectonics of the Central Asian fold belt, the evolution of the ancient oceans and mantle magmatism, isotope geochronology, geochemistry and isotopy of oceanic, island-arc and intraplate magmatic rocks. Visiting scientist at the Tokyo Institute of Technology (2004-2015), the University of Tokyo (2010, 2014, and 2017). Recipient of grants from the Korea Institute of Geology and Mineral Resources (KIGAM, 2010- 2012), and the Japan Society for Promotion of Science (JSPS, 2007-2009, 2014-2015, and 2017). Research leader and co-leader of bachelor- and master-degree studies conducted by students at the Novosibirsk State University. Author and coauthor of 300+ publications (including articles and abstracts), including two monographs (coauthored), 95 publication in RISC, citation index 2095 (Hirsch index in RISC - 21), and 74 publications in Web of Science (WoS), citation index1579 ( Hirsch Index on the Web of Science - 19).
