Область научных интересов Е.А.Рогожина – сейсмотектоника, оценка сейсмической опасности, прогноз землетрясений, структурная геология, современная геодинамика. В МГУ Е.А.Рогожин читает курс лекций по предмету "Сейсмотектоника" для студентов V курса специальности 011100 –«Геология» и магистрантов по программам «Геотектоника» - 511001, «Региональная геология» - 511004.
